Acer Nitro XV340CK-Review

Acer Nitro XV340CK-Review

Acer introduced an intriguing monitor as a part of its Nitro Series. The new Nitro XV340CK curved display is manufactured by BOE and offers a 34-inch QHD VA panel. The maximum refresh rate available on this monitor is 100 Hz, and the response time speed is listed at 4 ms. The contrast ratio is 3000:1 and the maximum brightness level is 300 nits. There are two 7-watt speakers supplied, and to complete its specs list Acer implemented an ergonomic stand with height, swivel (45°), tilt (20°) adjustments options.

Nitro XV340CK is one of the Best Budget Gaming Monitors out there. If you love playing games, this monitor is a must buy. Great display and the refresh rate of 100Hz adds more fun to your gaming time.

If you are a gamer, you will love this monitor. The 100 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response time makes the picture quality smooth. As the color reproduction is also good, Nitro XV340CK can be used even for professional work apart from gaming. The contrast ratio is 3000:1 which adds more depth to your games.

Nitro XV340CK has an ergonomic design with a solid built quality. You can easily adjust the height, tilt and swivel angle of the display according to your needs. The beautiful red color makes this monitor more appealing.

User Experience:

Acer made sure that Nitro XV340CK is not just a powerful PC, but also looks good. The outer case of the computer is finished in matte black with red accents to give it a modern look. The front panel sports Acer branding along with subtle triangular lines on the front door that are backlit by an RGB LED strip when powered up. You can easily change the color of this glowing logo using Acer’s voice-activated software. We would have preferred if they used an ASUS Aura Sync compatible stripe instead, as software support isn’t great at the moment and you will hardly find any third party hardware or clothing accessories compatible with Acer’s current offering. At least you can sync your graphics card’s Aura lighting system together with Nitro’s case lighting.

On the other hand, the ergonomics of the system are excellent for any type of user. Acer wisely placed all I/O ports on both sides and rear of the machine so there would be no need to reach behind if you plug something into a USB port located at inconvenient places.

They also made sure that most surfaces around display and input devices remain fingerprint free by using smooth matte materials with an anti-glare finish. Nitro XV340CK comes with three front facing speakers neatly built within its borderless display along with left and right side grills which house temperature control LED indicators.

These temperature gauges will glow deep red if computer’s internal components get hotter than normal so you can immediately take action to prevent system damage. Cooling components are located inside the front panel, so you don’t need to worry about dust or other particles accumulating inside your PC silently over time.

Connectivity Options:

Nitro XV340CK has all the connectivity options that a monitor can have. You can connect with multiple devices using its Display port, DVI-D and HDMI ports. The Free sync technology is also present, which automatically balances your GPU’s frame rate with monitor’s refresh rate to give you a lag-free experience when playing games.

Software:

Acer ships Nitro XV340CK with Windows 10 Home 64-bit preinstalled in addition to few apps that can be uninstalled if not needed. All of them were well behaved without unnecessary notifications or popups asking for action when we were setting up the computer. We didn’t find much bloat ware, but Acer does pack their own app store called the “Acer Care Center” which features universal access tools like virtual keyboard and handwriting support software together with backup/sync application for data stored locally on computers and online cloud service (Acer’s in-house). We would advise you not to uninstall this app as it also contains a power management utility that can monitor your CPU, GPU and power consumption.

Acer Care Center offers a nice set of tools for beginners who want to get more from their hardware or fix common error messages when computer gets stuck during setup process. There are options available to run a diagnostics test on storage devices, memory modules and display screen.

In case something goes wrong, you can always contact Acer’s technical support team without leaving the application window. You can even track warranty status of your registered products right from within the software suite after signing into your account.

Conclusion:

Overall, if you are looking for a monitor with 100 Hz refresh rate and 34 inch display size, then Acer Nitro XV340CK is the best choice. It offers all the features that a gamer wants.
