How the candidate must clear a CA test series?
Nowadays, CA is being popular among students as it provides stability to their future. This exam doesn’t need any specific stream. Students from any background could participate in CA. Besides this, it is quite daring as it needs a deeper knowledge of related subjects like accounting, taxation, and business management. For five years, students have to maintain consistency to clear this exam.
There are different tiers of CA and are briefly discussed below:
CA Foundation Exam
This is the very first test of this CA course just to determine the capability of the students. The CA exam pattern is divided into two categories one is objective and the other is subjective including four subjects.
The first two exams which are Principles and Practices of Accounting and Business Law and Business Correspondence and Reporting cover the subjective portion. The other two exams are Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics and Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge cover the objective portion.
Now let’s talk about the marking system. In the subjective portion, there is no negative marking but the objective portion contains negative marking and 0.25 marks will be deducted on attempting the wrong answer.
CA Intermediate Exam
When the participants clarify the CA Foundation, they are permitted to continue this course to approach the first level, CA Intermediate. The syllabus of the same encloses 2 groups and 8 subjects. The subjective portion is conducted by the ICAI. Participants can take the exam of both groups at a time or according to their preparation.
The detailed structure of this exam is discussed below:
ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants in India) conducts this exam at the national level. Registration can take place online by the official website. This exam is conducted in May and November in offline mode in both the languages Hindi and English. There will be 8 papers and each will contain 100 marks.
CA Final Exam
When the participants clarify both the groups they are now ready for the CA final course as it is the endmost level. This exam includes a vast syllabus of the Chartered Accountancy curriculum divided into 8 subjects. It is a completely subjective based exam pattern. As already mentioned above this exam is conducted by ICAI- Institute of Chartered Accountants in India at the National Level. The mode of registration is online and is conducted in May and November.
